Redeemed to Proclaim: The Power of Your Story

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy" (Psalm 107:1-2).

Has God redeemed you from the enemy’s hand? If so, praise His holy name and share His deeds. You don’t need to know everything to spread the gospel. A love for God and His people is enough. Don’t let the enemy discourage you with lies that you’re unqualified or unprepared. If you know God is good, if you have a testimony, you already know enough.

Jesus commanded us to share the good news (Matthew 28:19-20). We don’t grow more confident or qualified by staying silent. When we step out in faith, God guides and strengthens us. We become His hands and feet by sharing His love. We don’t need perfect knowledge or confidence to begin; we just need to start.

God chooses and qualifies us for His work. If He chose you, He gave you a testimony. Share what Jesus has done for you—how He saved and transformed your life. There are people wandering in the wilderness, hungry and thirsty, their souls faint within them (Psalm 107:4-5). They need to know Jesus is the answer to their pain and distress. Only He can lead them to true peace and life.

“The Lord satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness” (Psalm 107:9). Many are still sitting in darkness, bound by affliction. It’s our job to proclaim the gospel and point them to freedom in Christ. He sets captives free—whether from addiction, loneliness, or sin—and offers new life through His death and resurrection.

“Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness!” (Psalm 107:8). Salvation is for everyone, not a select few. God “desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4-6).

Even if you feel unqualified, start with your testimony. Share what God has done in your life. You don’t need to memorize every Bible verse or quote scripture perfectly; your story is enough. Share how God saved you, stood by you, and shaped you. Don’t let shame keep you silent. Your story demonstrates the power of Jesus and can inspire others to believe He can do the same for them.

The Bible is full of testimonies of God’s goodness. These stories spread His word and showed His power to change lives. Your identity is found in Christ, and your story reflects His grace and redemption. Relationships are often formed through shared experiences, and your testimony can help someone feel less alone. If Jesus did it for you, He can do it for them.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for redeeming me and giving me a testimony of Your goodness. Help me to share my story with boldness and love, knowing that You have chosen and equipped me for this purpose. Silence the lies of the enemy and strengthen my faith as I step out to proclaim Your name. Let my testimony be a light to those who are lost and a reminder of Your power to save. In Jesus’ name, amen.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
