Trusting Gods Plan: Letting Go of Worry

God is the Creator of heaven and earth. Everything in existence has come into being through His holy name and command. So why do we fill our minds with worry and fret? He promises a hedge of protection around us. Nothing happens without His will, and His Word assures us that He is in control. Despite this, we often give in to worry. Is it human nature? A lack of trust? Or is it the enemy working to separate us from our relationship with God? We face two enemies in this world: the devil and our own minds. We convince ourselves that we might make the wrong choices, that we will somehow mess up, but if we trust our Father in heaven, He will guide us on the right path.

We know that God's hand is upon us. He calls us His saints and His chosen people. Instead of worrying, let's rest our tired minds from the cares of this world and live under the yoke of Jesus, for He tells us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). Jesus paid the price for our lives, and they are precious to Him. He will never leave us, even if we are drowning in sin or carrying hidden shame. He has us in the palm of His hand, and He has a perfect plan for our lives — a plan for His glory.

God says, "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it" (Psalm 24:1). Everything on earth and in the heavens belongs to God. He is in control, and we can rest easy knowing our lives are in His infinitely good hands. Even when the future is uncertain or we feel we might make the wrong choice, we don’t need to bear that burden. Though we have free will, we also have the Holy Spirit as our guide. Even if we don't hear audible words telling us what to do, God will make sure we walk in the right way. The Bible assures us, "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it'" (Isaiah 30:21).

We worry about making the wrong choice, but do we truly believe we have that much control over our destiny? God has the ultimate control and He wants us to succeed. He loves us and has placed a calling on each of our lives. He desires that we fulfill this calling for His glory. God says, "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt; you shall not have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:2-3). We are His, and He will never forsake us.

We have the free will to choose to follow Him or to disobey His commands, but if we are filled with the Holy Spirit, He will guide us in the right direction. If we are willing to be used by God, we need not worry; He will use us for His purposes.

All of creation bows at His word, and nothing can oppose His sovereign plan for our lives. God is ultimately in control. When we choose to follow Him, He ensures that we will walk in His ways, whether by command or by deed. He is our loving Father, and we are His children. He will guide us because He desires the best for us.

Our free will doesn’t mean we are free to make mistakes without consequences; it means that sometimes we will take longer to learn a lesson in making the right choice. Worry only clouds our minds and makes it harder to make decisions. But if our hearts are set on coming to Jesus, He will move on our behalf. Sometimes things may seem impossible, but God makes the impossible possible.

So, praise His name! Praise Him for His direction, love, and faithfulness. Be calm and trust that He will make a way for you, even when there is no clear direction. Sometimes, God will open doors for us to walk through. We don’t need to second-guess ourselves. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). When we pray, "Thy will be done," we give up control, and God's will becomes supreme in our lives.

Trust that He will lead you and that His will is good. Don’t worry about making the wrong choice — God is in control, and He will guide you every step of the way.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your love and care. We come to You today, asking for peace and trust in Your perfect plan. Help us release our worries and surrender our anxieties into Your hands. We know that You are in control, and that Your Word is our guide. Teach us to trust You fully, even when the way ahead is unclear. Thank You for Your protection, Your guidance, and Your unending faithfulness. We are Your children, and we trust that You will lead us in Your ways. In Jesus' name, Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer:

Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.
